Wow..alot of information. Thanks. We have rescued two 5 wk old male dogs from a cotton field in TN, they are now in MO. They are about 4 months old now. They are being cared for only temporary by a couple. They are so far unwanted by anyone. We do not know what breed or mix of breeds they are. One of the boys has an old if not birth injury to it's hip, dislocation. Both are scheduled for surgery to be neutered this mon th and at the same time fix the one boys hip. What do you think? Skip the castrations and just do the hip surgey for now...or since they are "strays" get 'em fixed, since there future homes are uncertian, and we wouldn't want any accidental litters. ?? Our organization is paying for all the vet work. We don't mind the cost, it will be reasonable, put I don't want the castration to effect the hip surgery! Thanks, Kristina Martinez
